Her name is Lilian Paddington. And she is a dreamcatcher.
Lily was always dreaming. She had a dream every night and often would have daydreaming spells, too. She could see what she wanted so very clearly in her mind. But she was always apprehensive about pursuing her dreams. And there were many reasons why.
The kneejerk reaction to anything that seemed too good to be true was to expect the inevitable, waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Lily’s attempts at happiness weren’t founded on having learned anything from her past. But her past was what she wanted to forget. To her, that made perfect sense. That’s why her past was her past.
However, the past was always a good teacher. Unfortunately, the past was also the one thing that repeatedly crushed hopes and dreams. But there were some hopes and dreams that Lily refused to stop believing in, regardless of where she came from and what hadn’t worked out in her life – up to that point.
Lily wanted the fairy tale, with all the pomp and circumstance and in all its due glory. She wanted her prince to magically appear and sweep her off her feet, happily ever after awaiting them both. Despite her never-ending belief, in her late-20s, that prince hadn’t shown himself yet.
All of that was about to change.
But Lily had a few things to get figured out before her prince appeared. The trouble was: she had no idea it was about to happen.
This is the prequel story of Lily. It takes place a few months prior to the start of Zeke and Lily (Book One): Once Upon A Beginning and the last page connects right to the first page of that book.
And it details how Lily got herself ready for the rest of her life without knowing what the rest of life was going to be like. After all, being prepared would make clear the difference between a destination and a final destination.
Her name was Lilian Paddington, a dreamcatcher and a BabyGirl to be.
And this is her prequel …
