The 1-on-1 Podcast: Episode Eight – Mommy Kuri

On Soundcloud

Episode Eight welcomes Mommy Kuri, a selfless and inspiring member of our community who just might be an unknowing masochist … because she has a tendency to give until it hurts.  LOL

As a convention creator and coordinator, munch leader, Line Group leader, member of the community, Mommy, switchy soul and tremendous giver, Kuri has touched more hearts and lives than what she is probably aware of.  And though she is extremely humble, constantly taking the limelight off herself and putting it onto others, there is a community that appreciates her in a manner that she probably also doesn’t know the magnitude of.

I have been looking forward to the opportunity to go 1-on-1 with her and pick her brain for quite some time.  And in Episode 8, I finally got the chance.

That being said … the topics of this episode included (but definitely were not limited to): chat rooms, switching, sock wars, bionics, evilness of oatmeal, Peace Corps opportunities, country girl stuff, photography, cigars, conventions, emotions, reasons, Little Philly, music playlists, God Moving Over The Face Of The Water … as well as a truly informative and touching talk about what she saw as the differences between lust, infatuation and love.

I learned several things I did not know about her, including the story behind her the origin of her username, a life-altering decision she had to make a decade ago and a complicated injury she sustained – the scars of which I didn’t even know she had.

This was 94 minutes that enriched my life.

To one and all, I hope you enjoy listening to episode eight as much as we enjoyed recording it for you.

The New Storybook Experience

While driving home from TeddyCon on Monday, I thought back on the week that had been – on the 8 days that made up the TeddyCon 2019 experience for me … from storage to load in to set up to convention to tear down to storage return.  And the first thought that came to mind was one of the last things to happen.

The CrinkleCast (Season Two): Episode Two – Mommy Red

The second season of The CrinkleCast is now in high gear, the second episode (13th overall) welcoming Mommy Red, a maternal soul from within the community and also the owner of MommyRedOriginals.

Kuri, Philly and I had a wonderful chat with Red about the nature of care giving, the ability to do so from a long distance, the sense of balance in one’s life and how things that last take work as well as understanding.

I truly hope a second episode is devoted to Mommy Red as this one was an enriching experience for us.  When you listen to it, you will be enriched as well.

It was a tremendous joy to rejoin The CrinkleCast team and to record this, the 12th episode of the podcast.  Getting back into the swing of things, Kuri, Phil and I sat down to chat with ArcadianX, a long-time friend and co-builder of absolutely everything you see at TeddyCon conventions.

From the crib to the bear stuffing machine to the trike to the ball pit to carnival games to so much more, Phil and Arcadian X take some time to not only explain how they built all these mind-blowing objects but also, how you can build similar items for yourself.

What I Saw and What I Loved

I wasn’t going to put up a posting about TeddyCon 2018, instead opting to thoroughly enjoy reading what other people wrote about it.  But when I got home on Monday night after having been at the convention hotel for the eight days prior, I felt a familiar urge to do something I hadn’t done in more than a week … to write.

The more people write and post about the events they go to, the more those events grow.  Posting about specific activities enjoyed or other recollections of specific moments at a convention give the organizers a bit of information about what was seen as most memorable at the event they put together.

Anyone who plans and implements a convention or similar gathering wants their creation to be memorable and to leave fond thoughts in their attendees’ minds, even days after the convention ends.  And when people write about their fresh memories, it becomes a window that clearly displays what people enjoyed the most.

So, instead of typing a minute by minute recalling of the entire experience, I’ve decided to write about specific moments from TeddyCon 2018 that I found to be personally touching.  It is an impossibility to be a part of every single class, activity, craft, special event and specific happening at TeddyCon as there are always at least six different options of things to do at all points in time.

It goes without saying that I didn’t see everything that went on at TC, every moment in every location.  So, I will write about what I saw and what I loved.

—————————————

TeddyCon 2018 was the second year of a complete hotel takeover offering.  At TC, a complete hotel takeover is inclusive of every square inch of the entire hotel building, up to and including the glass doors of the main entrance as well as the indoor pool.  But it is also inclusive of the courtyard.  And the whole thing truly felt like a village, a magical destination – complete with a restaurant, a watering hole, a swimming hole, sleeping accommodations, shopping, entertainment, night life and the ability to roam about in nothing but a t-shirt and diaper – if so desired … protected and maintained to keep it safe.

And my oh my. The TeddyCon village atmosphere was filled with an energy I had never felt the strength of before while it offered up more than any prior TeddyCon had tendered.

That First Night

I’m gonna let everybody in on a secret, but you have to pinkie-swear promise that you will tell absolutely no one.  Okay?

Here’s the secret:  I like to write, although in present-day terminology it would be more accurate to say that I like to type.  And one of my favorite things to type each year is the posting about TeddyCon.

In years past, I’ve written lengthy recollections about the convention.  But as TeddyCon has grown each year, in exponential ways, more and more people have begun to post about their experiences there and of the memories so fresh on their thoughts.  This is a wonderful thing and I am once again looking forward to reading all the postings.

For this reason, I will focus this posting in on one particular chunk of the TeddyCon weekend.

———-

A hotel takeover may only seem like a fancy name for a fancy dream.  And that may be all it ever is imagined to be … until you actually go to it, see it and become a part of it.

TeddyCon 2017 covered every square inch of the inside of that hotel, from the bar and breakfast area and the lobby to the banquet room, the pool, the hallways and everywhere else.  Even the courtyard was included, a makeshift wall being created for privacy.

Having watched all of this being put together, I stood in awe of how all-encompassing this weekend was going to be.  And, added into the fact that no one had to cover up their little appearance in the hallways or any other place inside the building, the atmosphere was electric.

With a stream-lined registration system under way, people arrived in droves – a good portion of people having already been there prior to the 1pm opening on Thursday and having already pre-registered the night before.  Right from the start, a system was in place to handle the masses in a timely fashion.

Classes began that afternoon as did crafts-n-activities.  And people were everywhere.  It was amazing to see.  And the best part of all of it was how our glorious attendees cooperated with the process.  In order to have real security, there had to be a general attitude of wanting the system to work.

And the TeddyCon 2017 attendees were fantastic about this.  They were fantastic about everything.  And that made all the difference in the world.

The bar opened at 4pm.  More people arrived and as the dinner break began, I got the sense that the first evening of the convention was going to set the tone for the whole weekend.

A delicate balance had to be created to have multiple activities and events happening simultaneously.  This is what made the takeover work, from a scheduling and programming stand point.  There were always several options of things to do, some being structured and some being unstructured.

And that first night, a dive-in movie was shown in the pool area as people swam around.

At the same time, the courtyard was open – providing a unique outdoor experience with a fire pit, marshmallows, a direct line of view of the movie in the pool area and accommodating weather.

But wait!  There’s more because that’s not all that was happening just then!

In the main con space, round after round after round of a human hungry hippo game was taking place.

Also in the main con space, the doctor’s office was taking patients.

The vendor hallway was open, people milling from room to room and shopping.

And by 8pm, the bar began to get packed – in lieu of the forthcoming activity there that night … karaoke!

Oh My Blue Heaven, have I wanted karaoke at an ABDL convention forever!

So, of course, I volunteered myself to kick the thing off – going up there and belting my froggy voice into blissful hoarseness.

I would leave the bar then and go back to the con space to watch the hungry hippo activity some more.  Then I wandered into the pool area.  Then I wandered out into the courtyard.  And what I began to notice was how I had the same idea as everyone else.

People were wandering freely from one area to the next, taking in the sights and sounds of it all – then getting into a bathing suit and swimming for a while before getting out and going to the courtyard for a few toasted marshmallows … then having a drink in the bar while listening to the karaoke fanatics.

A lot of these activities would eventually wind down as the first day of the con came to an end.  But the night was young and the room parties started hopping.  The bar was still open and people were mixing and mingling and takin’ over the hotel.

And before I finally turned in that first night, I knew that we weren’t on to something good at all.

We were on to something great.

What I’ve always loved about these conventions was the feeling of family that was ever-looming in the air.  TeddyCon 2017, like the past three years, was a collection of ages, preferences, races, genders and crinkles.

This convention has always done everything humanly possible to keep the atmosphere inviting.  Challenges arise as the numbers increase each year.  But with the help of the willing attendees that were there, differences – perhaps even passionate ones – were able to be handled – long enough to allow a convention to do some good.

Oh wait! … I mean to do some great.

This was the final thought in my mind before I went sleep … that first night.

The Whole Sha-Bang

The Whole Kit-n-Kaboodle
The Whole Shootin’ Match
The Whole Nine Yards
The Whole Ball of Wax
The Works

I grew up as a country boy and literally lived right next to a junk yard.  My parents never liked it, but my brother and I were in Heaven.  We had the most elaborate dirt bike trail imaginable.

Country Time was a bit slower and we had our own phrases for everything.  We didn’t wash clothes, we warshed them.  The word color we pronounced as keller.

So you’ll have to forgive me going back to olde tyme phrases in my excitement.  It was recently announced that TeddyCon 2017 is now a complete and entire hotel takeover ABDL convention.

The main convention space, the hallways, the pool, the courtyard, the lobby, the breakfast area, the bar … the entire building will now be included in TeddyCon 2017.  There will be no vanilla folks in the building for the convention.  And this means you don’t have to cover your littleness up when walking through the halls or anywhere else in the building.

It opens up so many other possibilities that hadn’t been possible since the days of those Vermont Ski Lodge Conventions.

And I am losing my mind with excitement.

TeddyCon 2017
3 days.
Only us.
And the entire hotel building is ours.

Oh yes.

TeddyCon Nights

Though there are many things to do at an ageplay convention, surely most people have their favorite moments and activities.  I’m no different in this regard.  Being a night owl by nature, I’ve always loved the evenings of TeddyCon that extended beyond the con space and into the wee hours of the morning.

No pun intended.  (Okay, pun intended.)

There winds up being a lot of night owls at TeddyCon, or at least temporary night owls.  So as each day dips into the evening hours, TeddyCon continues providing programming – ready for prime time.

On Thursday night of the 2017 Hotel Takeover, TC will be presenting a dive-in movie on a big screen in the pool area of the hotel.  So bring your flippers, your floatie things, your bathing suits and enjoy a most unique experience.

On Friday night, the olde-fashioned carnival returns.  Last year there were 12 olde-tyme games, prizes galore, a guy on stilts, a snow cone machine, cotton candy and so much more.  This year’s carnival will be set up in a space that is twice as large and twice as fun.

On Saturday night, the TeddyCon Littles Pageant takes place, the five categories being: Little Mx., Little Mr., Little Miss, Best Pet and Best Talent.  So bring your best and show it off or just come and watch and cheer on the contestants.

Yes, the convention does eventually close every night.  But worry you not!  TeddyCon 2017 is the first-ever ABDL Hotel TakeOver convention.  And the hotel is all ours.  So the fun doesn’t shut down.

Once the con space closes, please go back to your hotel room and bag up all your used diapers.  Set these bags outside your door in the hallways for The Diaper Wagon to pick up.  Do this each night and you won’t ever have to carry your used diapers to the garbage.

Then follow the convention as it fans out into the after-hours room parties that will last until 2am each night.

It was in these hours in years prior that the infamous “218” episode took place, not to forget the “335” incident.  Some rooms will have booze.  Some will have video games.  Some will have darker fun.  It’s all a matter of what people decide.

But rest assured, TeddyCon 2017: The Hotel TakeOver is not only a three-day affair as it was last year.  It is also a three-night affair, too.

See you in October … if not sooner.

Blessings to you all.

ABDL Events, Conventions and more – All Year Round

  CAPCon CampCrucible & More!

This is a very exciting posting to make, for many reasons.  Listed below are ABDL events, gatherings, parties and convention.  And it’s very encouraging to see so many, popping up out of the woodwork.  Gone are the days of sparse communications and remote parties.  Now, you have opportunities around every corner, inviting you to attend and waiting for you.

I’m certain there are some events that I’ve missed.  In fact, I hope I missed some because that would mean there’s even more out there.  But just with what’s listed here, you can find something very “Diaper-ish” to attend that will fit your comfort level, road trip limits, budget, age, preference, darkness levels (a.k.a. Butt Whoopin’), innocent levels and how far away you can be from Turkey Hill Iced Tea without losing your mind!

.

Okay, that last one mainly pertains to me, but the fact remains that diapered bottoms are travelin’ everywhere!

.

Hold on, everybody.  Here we go:

See It, Build It, Do It

As time moves forward in the year and as TeddyCon 2017 is almost exactly five months from happening, details are becoming finalized.  And when they are finalized, I post about them.

It’s my way of helping out, spreading the word and aiding the attendees-to-be in painting more vivid pictures in their minds throughout the summer of what they can expect at The TeddyCon Hotel TakeOver in the fall.

2017 Crafts, Activities, & Demonstrations

Perler Beads – Bead by bead, color by color, come let your imagination soar with everyone’s favorite little melting plastic beads!

Shaving Cream Painting – Because of the immense popularity of this activity there will be TWO sessions!  Do you like to make a mess?  Come make some beautiful art by combining shaving cream, paint, and your imagination.

Finger Painting – Who actually needs paint brushes? You don’t!  Let your fingers do the painting!

Arm Tree Painting – Get messy and use your arm and hand to make your tree, finish it off with leaves and landscape.  What season will you pick?

Paper Bowl Jellyfish – Watch out for the sting!  Do you want a happy jelly or a mad one?  Make them smile and jiggle and wiggle!

Gak! – Its ooey and gooey and oh so gross!  Come be a scientist and help us create a mess!

Tin Foil Painting – This awesome project makes beautiful, whimsical, three-dimensional paintings!

Cupcake Liner Ocean Animals – Are you the king of the sea or a beautiful mermaid? Make all of your favorite ocean animals to come frolic with you.

Fall Tree Stained Glass – Bring the beauty of the fall inside with this beautiful tissue paper stained glass project.

Custom Dips for Custom Kids – All Kids are not the same.  We all have different styles and likes.  So why wear the same diaper that everyone else does? Come sit down and learn to make some diapers with some table clothes, diapers, and some glue!

Tutu Demonstration – Have you ever wanted a super poofy tutu, only to find they were more expensive than you could afford?  Well, hold onto your britches, ’cause we’re gonna show you how to make your own!  All you need is elastic, a bunch of tulle strips, and a wish to own a poofy tutu!

Life Size Hungry Hungry Hippos – Are you hungry for some oversized hippo action?  We have sized up the game so that everyone can play!!  Come be the hippo and get ready to munch!

Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVdpxq_FiOg

Shaving Cream Celebration – Join us in a celebration of foamy soap!   We will have a kiddie pool full of shaving cream.  Make a sculpture, make someone else into a sculpture, or just jump in and get covered in the cream! Shaving cream is a great introduction to messy play as it’s just soap.  So come and get cleaned up!

Messy Twister – Remember Twister?  We’ll take it up a notch with paint on the colors, and an additional spinner that adds new rules of putting hands on arms or diapers!  Participants will get all wrapped up and covered in paint, which those watching will enjoy the attempts to stay up.  They might even get armed with squirt bottles for the bonus round!

.

Oh my.  There is so much more to tell you about.  So please keep checking back here all summer to learn more.  The TeddyCon 2017 Hotel TakeOver will give you more to do than you will have time to do inside of the 4-day/3-night convention weekend.

More details to follow as things finalize.  Well in advance of the convention, you will have class descriptions, vendors information, special events details, activities and crafts info (see above!), presenters information, raffle items descriptions, Build-A-Buddy stuffed animal skin choices, pool activities, courtyard activities and whatever else comes up along the way.

See ya in October … if not before.

Blessings to you all.

The Doctor is in!!!

About five years ago, a dear angel (who I still believe was sent to me directly from God Above) made a topic suggestion to me for an ABDL ebook.  And while I knew what MedFet was an abbreviation for, what I didn’t know was how popular it was.  Nor did I realize how seamlessly it can be joined with ABDL.

I’ve always believed ABDL to be a lot like the O Negative blood type.  That’s the one that mixes well with all the other, when in a pinch.  ABDL can be combined with a lot of things – nymphomania, BDSM, horror, Zombies!! (shameless plug), pet play, schoolgirl themes, romance, tragedy, sci-fi … and the list goes on … including the medical fetish.

So in 2017, when TeddyCon presents to you their first-ever ABDL convention hotel takeover, they will also be opening the doors to … The Teddy Clinic.

I love what they wrote about it as introduction and really don’t see any need to reword it myself:

Are you in need of a check up? Have you always wanted to let your “little” go to the pediatrician? At TeddyCon 2017 you now have your chance!

Join Dr. WiggleButt at the Teddy Clinic and have your ouchies and boo boos looked at. Get a simple check up and maybe even earn a sticker or a lollipop!

We have designed a fun “little” space for you to experience an AB-friendly doctor’s visit.

Want to know what happens at the Teddy Clinic?

Dr. WiggleButt will check your heart beat, your ears and eyes, your temperature and your reflexes! But don’t worry.  There are no shots to be afraid of here! All of the equipment is fun (and real!) Bigs are welcome to attend the appointment with their little, to ask questions and participate!

Disclaimer: This is NOT a real medical appointment provided by a real medical professional. This is strictly for entertainment purposes. There will be no confidential information collected or given at the Teddy Clinic!

All summer long, stay up-to-date with the TeddyCon 2017 Hotel TakeOver details that are being organized and finalized as we speak.

Call for Questions

Crinkle Cast CardThis is a time-sensitive posting, but don’t worry.  It won’t self-destruct in five seconds.  However, it is a mission you could choice to accept.

With TeddyCon 2016 now in the books, the TeddyCrew is jumping back behind the microphones to make more episodes of the Crinkle Cast.   And our next one, episode 11, will be a Q & A episode.

Throughout 2016, we have received a lot of questions from listeners.  We intend to answer the whole lot of them on this episode.  But we thought we’d also put out a call to everyone for more questions.

So if there is burning query you have, please tell us what it is and we will answer it on episode 11.

There are several ways you could contact the Crinkle Cast with your question, but the two ways that would make it easiest for us would be:

  1. Sending an email to: crinklecast@yahoo.com
  2. Sending a message to: Crinkle Cast’s FetLife Profile

But time is of the essence.  We will be recording this episode next week.   So please send your questions in now.  And then stay tuned for the release of the episode (most likely before Christmas Day 2016).

TeddyCon 2016 – Happily Stuck on YOU

tc-16-handbookSince 2014, every October has included an east coast ABDL convention for the crinkly and ageplay masses, rivaling no other convention – but instead, further enhancing the community we all belong to and love.

TeddyCon 2016 continued that mission in its third year and with an immense amount of help from its attendees and volunteers, grew just a bit more.

Tuesday, October 11th

I arrived at the TeddyCon hotel at the appropriate time of 2:18 pm, almost exactly two days before the event started.  As I approached the front entrance, out walked Mommy Kuri, Little Philly and Razamataz – three devoted individuals who had arrived the evening prior.  And in short order, TeddyCon 2016 – The Hat Trick began.

There was an immediate buzz in the air, helping hands with greater involvement than ever before and the vision clear that not only would there be new things for the TC masses to enjoy this time around but also the trusted favorites to return.  The growth was evident, a result of immense planning and building.  And the energy equaled the preparations.

Setting up the command station in the infamous room 218, I already was taking notice to the greater amount of everything that would make up the third offering of this event.  It was a greater amount of supplies, of helping hands, of attendees and as I would soon learn – of memories.

A “Class” Affair

TeddyConI love the weeks and months that lead up to an ABDL convention as more and more details are added to the planning of the event and then announced.  It’s fun because you get to see the convention forming right in front of you and, in a sense, you become a part of it that way.

Just yesterday, the TeddyCon crew announced the class list for the 4-day 2016 convention.  I list those classes here now.

“Solo Age Play” – Penny Barber

Solo age play can be fun and deeply rewarding to your Little. Come meet with Penny Barber as she leads a discussion in solo age play techniques, activities, and issues. Bring your questions as well as your suggestions!

“Setting Up Online Profiles” – Penny Barber

This class is designed to help you connect online efficiently and meaningfully with other age players and fetishists. This class will be an overview of age play; we’ll talk about what age play is and what it is not. Whether you identify as a middle, little, or ab/dl we’ll give you plenty of nasty tricks for your toy bad and use against the other kids! For One Weekend …

… bright and glorious, we were.

WednesdayTo the moon and back
I pulled into the TeddyCon hotel at 1pm to see LittlePhilly and MommyKuri standing there – waiting for me. We extended the first of many hugs that weekend to each other and then went into the conference space to get some sort of an idea of the most organized way to set the room up.

Organization was a big part of what made TeddyCon 2015 zing. And those two had certainly thought everything out – down to the finite details. I remember the room looked so spacious and empty before we began and I marveled, remembering back to TeddyCon 2014 and how we packed that room in quite nicely.

Heading to the storage units, we began packing in load after load – toting it back to the hotel and beginning to bring the con space back to life. Part way into the process, The Allentown Boys were called in – some local gents who were chomping at the bit to get the weekend going. And as we put the room together, setting up the walls, the poles, the curtains, dumping the balls into the ball pit and setting up that amazing crib, I paused for a moment – watching everybody at work. And I could feel the buzz already … that first strain on TeddyCon-itis already having taken over all of us. Everybody wanted to get the room ready – so the convention could begin.

One of the fun little things we did were the secret projects, so to speak. My favorite of which was that when put all the foam tiles down, we spelled out words. And when those mats were loaded with Legos or matchboxes or whatever went on them, the words weren’t obvious. But if anyone cleared them off, secret messages were written there.

I could tell you what the messages said.  But if I did that, they wouldn’t be a secret anymore, would they? 😉

And for a play room that was already mind-blowing from the 2014 concept, it seemed impossible to improve upon it. But, as was the realized theme all weekend long, anything was possible … if you put the work into it. So little by little (no pun intended), the improvements emerged – from a sweet scent that filled the air to those adorable Winnie the Pooh wall stickers, we began to give new details to it all. As I looked around the play room, I felt the need to give it some sort of name – something that would be befitting of its purpose and of its effect on the multitudes of littles it would hold that weekend. I just didn’t know what the name would be … at least not on that first night, anyways.

And, finishing in the wee hours of the morning, those of us who were still there did the one and only thing that made sense. We went to Waffle House. Phil must not have eaten at all that day as he devoured an impressive amount of food, complete with an apple crumb waffle. LOL

Back at the hotel, I took my daily late-night stroll – to smoke and to reflect on the day that had been. TeddyCon 2014 was an To the Moon and Backunbelievable adventure, like a trip to the moon. But I could tell already that TeddyCon 2015 was going to be to the moon and back. That was, in fact, what one of the wall stickers in the play room read exactly.

Off to bed. TeddyCon 2015 would open the next day.

Paying Forward the Support

As I’ve watched (and lightly assisted in) the planning of TeddyCon 2015 over these past few months, I’ve seen people come out of the woodwork – excited for the opportunities available to them at the Con 2.

Some have been so excited that they wanted to be a part of the experience on a level greater than that of just an attendee.  So they became volunteers – some who will give a few hours over the Con 2 weekend to help run the various activities or head up some other post where help will be needed, some who donated items for the raffle, some who offered to teach a class or to assist in any of a dozen different needed ways.

And as the number of attendees kept rising, so did the number of raffle items and the number of classes.

Then, other kinds of supporters began to surface – offering supplies to the Con.

And all of these things came together out of the kindness of a great many hearts that not only wanted to see the Con 2 succeed, but who chose to make definite the sequel’s greatness.

So, in an effort to say thank you to a collection of those supporters, I am listing them here.  Each of them provides a service, products or opportunities for you.  All you need to do is contact them.  And when you contact them, tell them thank you for their support of TeddyCon 2015.

Without them, the event-to-be wouldn’t have been at all.

Stranger Than Fiction: The World Will Still Keep Turning

There’s nothing quite so intriguing as a story that is either real or seems so realistic that you can relate to it – either as a whole or perhaps just relating to a character in that story.

I’ve written entire books that were storylined from real events in my life and quite a few more that were based loosely on real events in my life.  The rest of what I’ve written is fantasy … or fantasies that I have.

But what I write to you in this posting is a true story.  It is not based on anything.  It is an actual account of something that happened to me recently.  And Stranger Than Fiction , though catchy in sound, really doesn’t even adequately describe it.

I’ve had a small handful of different jobs in my lifetime, from acting to serving to factory boredom and more. And I must say that my favorite job has been to be an author (but also, once working for the company that makes my beloved iced tea was pretty tasty, too.) Yet, in all the jobs I’ve held, I’ve never once had an experience where one job sort of “met” the other in a rather happenstance manner.

That had always been the case for me at least … until yesterday.

Classes and Crafts and Toys … Oh my!

TeddyConFollowing the Yellow Brick Road is not only one of the notable scenes from all of cinema history, but it’s one that speaks of an amazing journey. The illusion behind it is that if we follow this colorful road, our destination will be easy to get to and will yield us everything that we could’ve possibly hoped for … and more.

A lot of times we overthink things in life and while the Yellow Brick Road fills us with fantastic thoughts, it can sometimes be dumbed down and used as a tool to teach us not to dream.

Well … that just seems like a rotten way to look at something that was intended to enhance dreams and imagination. And how many times in our lives have we been discouraged about following after fairy tale endings.

The reality of it all may be that Fairy Tale Endings and Yellow Brick Roads are perfect examples of what we dream about. But it doesn’t mean that our journeys have to be anything less than fantastic. A lot of times in life, we set out in pursuit of something specific, only to find along the way, that our pursuit has changed. And we discover so much more of what we wanted that we wouldn’t have ever known we wanted … had we not taken the journey.

And now … TeddyCon 2014!

TeddyConTeddyCon 2014

I will never forget Saturday, January 9th, 2010.  That was the night I attended my first munch.  It was actually the first non-vanilla gathering of any kind I had ever attended.  For years, I had read about them online, but simply couldn’t build up the courage to go to one.  On that night, I realized how foolish my fears were.

That particular munch wasn’t an ABDL one.  It was simply a non-vanilla gathering at a cafe in the middle of Lancaster City, PA.  I figured someone who knew me would certainly see me or people at nearby tables would hear what our conversations were about or worse yet … that someone would attend the munch and be dressed in obvious attire that would draw unwanted attention to us.

Happily, I report to you now, that I was wrong on all accounts.  There were no problems and I made friends at that munch I remain close with, to this very day.

It would be another year before I would begin to look at convention and festival type gatherings.  And another year after that before I would start attending ABDL-specific events.

What I will tell you is:  Some of the closest friends in my life I met at these gatherings.  And I truly wish I had branched out at a younger age.  For years, I kept a profile and wrote stories.  That was it.  But when I began to meet people, a whole new world opened up to me.

In the past few years, I’ve budgeted going to quite a few festivals, conventions, parties, munches and the like.  From FetFest to the Geeky Kink Event to Brimstone to CAPCon and I even attended an Abdulia.

They were all great and I had a fantastic time at all of them.  But the ones I’ve enjoyed the most were the AgePlay Hotel Conventions.  I attended my first one in the spring of 2011.  That particular convention no longer exists, but in the spring of 2012, I went to CAPCon.  And suddenly, I was meeting people from the west coast to the east coast, people from Europe and even a guy who flew down from Alaska!  What made CAPCon such an amazing experience were the similarities we the attendees had with each other.  What made it an unforgettable experience was how we the attendees were vastly different people on the outside.  What made CAPCon a wanted repeatable experience was how everyone, similar and different, became family.

And now the age play hotel conventions head east … to TeddyCon.

What is TeddyCon?  It’s an annual get-together of ABDLers and ageplayers in a hotel in the Eastern Pennsylvania area.  It’s designed for the AB/DL, Ageplay, Littles and Bigs community.  Like CAPCon, it welcomes the pure-n-innocent side of things.  So it isn’t a typical BDSM event.  But what you do in your hotel room is your business – whether it’s innocent or dark!  From a ball pit to classes to activities and so much more than you’ll ever have time to do, if you love CAPCon, then TeddyCon will touch your heart in the same way.

.

Be it understood, TeddyCon is not a carbon copy of CAPCon.  But it is very much of the same cloth (every pun intended).   The format is the same.  And a lot of the friends we made at CAPCon are attending.  Just as with CAPCon, you will get out of TeddyCon what you put into it.

There will be classes, activities, presenters, a pageant and all of the fun, friendship & family that an AgePlay Convention can have.

.

I cannot encourage you enough to join the TeddyCon FetLife Group, to join in on the discussions, to check out the TeddyCon website  and to get to know everything that will be happening at the con this fall.

Tickets are on sale already and the available spaces are filling up.  The price of the hotel room is $65.00/night with the TeddyCon code after registration.

.

The registration price will continue to go up as the event nears.  For the current price, visit the TeddyCon website.
