Mommy’s Point of View: The Maternal Instinct

Some things about ourselves are obvious to others, but not to us.  And the reason why is because we’re not actually supposed to be able to understand it all.  If we understood it all, then we wouldn’t need anyone.

No one understands this more than a Mommy.  For Avery, she knew exactly what her little guy needed.  And all it took to get him to see it about himself was a Bambino Diaper, the right point of view and a little Maternal Instinct.

The “Little” Husband

BabyHusbandAnimated

12:37 p.m. –
Fast asleep on the black leather sofa in the TV room, Gus wasn’t even moving a single muscle. He was out like a light. Thankfully, on that day he was able to come home from work at noon. And the reason was he had worked so much overtime that week that his bosses refused to pay him anymore.

Now a little more than a half hour after he got home, Gus hardly appeared as a hard-working man. Asleep on the on couch, nursing on a pacifier and wearing nothing but a t-shirt and a diaper, he was fully-relaxed into what the rest of his life held for him – when not working so hard.

And the reason why he was a pile of drained mush was sitting on the next couch over, texting away … Ivy, his beloved wife and also his Mommy. She was a very attentive and loving partner to him, but Ivy was also very down-to-Earth and it was that combination of passion and power that kept him wrapped around her finger.

A knock came to the door.

The Dipping Routine

HomecomingGus walked in through the front door of his apartment building, shut it and began to labor his way up the staircase to his second floor apartment. These 16-hour days at work seemed like a good way to make some extra cash when he volunteered to work them. But knowing that he would be back at work again tomorrow in just 8 short hours took the joy of the overtime out of the experience for him.

As he unlocked his front door and walked into his apartment, he knew that the next 8 hours would nurture him, re-energize him and re-focus him. While his days at work consisted of him getting dumped on by everyone, his nights at home consisted of him “getting dipped” by his Mommy. And being that he was accustomed to taking orders both day and night, his regression was always an assured thing.

The O.T.K.

One of the most frustrating things a Mommy has to deal with is repeating herself.  And it isn’t always that she wasn’t heard the first time.  It’s often that a little mind fails to pay attention when it needs to.

But when a Mommy grows weary of not just repeating herself, but also repeating the same ineffective punishments, she begins to do less in order to accomplish more.

And the new lessons are learned in a different way when O.T.K.

“Has It Been A Minute, Yet?”

Patience is a virtue.  But for someone with littleness in the heart, patience is an obstacle between them and getting what they want when they want it.  A Mommy picks up on this and her maternal instincts kick in, addressing her little one’s needs, but not catering to his wants.

Instead, everything would happen in Mommy’s time.  Lil Gus was wet and patience wasn’t on his side … yet.

Busted

Getting away with doing something that we know we shouldn’t be doing may well be one of the most natural human instincts of all.

But so are the consequences for our actions.  When we test the waters and the limits, we tempt fate.  It’s infinitely more difficult to admit to a mistake as it is to simply take the punishment.  That’s human instinct, too.

This is the story of a lil boy who must’ve been full of these instincts.  And this story is how he tested the waters, tempted his own fate and got … Busted.

The Avery Puppy

Madonna may have been on to something when she sang that Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. And Avery was indisputable proof of this.

The name Avery has an Olde English origin, meaning “elf” or “magical counselor”. There had always been a high level of make-believe in her little heart. And that nature of make-believe would sometimes make her imagination run wild.
