How do you react to people who don’t see things the way you do?  Do you accept their opinions or do you attack them?

I contacted Mako Allen (of the Big Little Podcast, DC Munch and other endeavors), asking him if he would like to do a podcast episode where we talked about a list of different topics – some of which being topics we didn’t have the same opinions about.

Ranging from discussions of terms like “community” to the ever-intriguing question of “Can ABDL and Age Play be sexual sometimes and non-sexual at other times?” to other topics about munches and conventions to other topics of how we relate to one another,  Mako and I duked it out for three hours on this first episode of a podcast that stated opinions … opinions, not facts.

But, to my surprise, our talk delved into discussions about ourselves and about others, our experiences and the all-too-important question of chunky peanut butter or creamy peanut butter.

Yep.  We got to talking about stories and about why we write them.  But we also began to discuss other places on the internet and resources that were of age play interest:

DPF.com – which no longer exists.
Aby.com
Diaperspace
Dailydiapers.com
Middle America Littles
Love in Brief
The Big Little Podcast
The Crinkle Cast
FetLife

Podcastica Fantastica

On the Big Little Podcast, there is a listener with such an incredible memory that this person can be given an episode number only and is able to state the title of that episode, the subject and likely most every guest that was on that episode.

So if I asked this person about Big Little Podcast: Episode 77, the answer I would receive would be:

Episode 77: Ageplay Leadership

At CAPCon 2013, included Spacey, Mako, Benny, Luke, Mo, Paul Rulof, Golden Loki, Zorro Daddy, and a room full of others

Okay, that was a shameless example as I had the honor of being on that episode.

(At the time that I wrote this posting, there were 119 Big Little Podcast episodes.  Think about how many titles, subjects and names that have to be memorized to keep all that information straight and be able to recite it at any given moment.)

This person, with such unbelievable memory, has been nicknamed “Encyclopedia Podcastica”.

Having lent my hand to another ABDL Podcast that started earlier this year (and stay tuned as season two is about to begin), I began to think of what it must be like to have gone through the work of producing over 100 episodes.  And I don’t even do any of that side of the work.  I’m just a voice on the thing.

Being as I am a proponent of spreading the word about ABDL, I thought it might be a neat idea to make a collection of all the ABDL Podcasts that currently exist.

And here they are:

Big Little PodcastThe Big Little Podcast By, about, and for age players of all kinds – covering a broad range of age play topics, from diapers to discipline and topic shows to personal interviews.

The World Will Still Keep Turning

I’ve had a small handful of different jobs in my lifetime, from acting to serving to factory boredom and more. And I must say that my favorite job has been to be an author (but also, once working for the company that makes my beloved iced tea was pretty tasty, too.) Yet, in all the jobs I’ve held, I’ve never once had an experience where one job sort of “met” the other in a rather happenstance manner.

That had always been the case for me at least … until yesterday.

The Big Little Podcast – Episode 104: Writing AgePlay Fiction & Erotica

BLP-LogoAt the beginning of October, I had the pleasure of being a part of podcast I truly hoped would happen some day. But, being as it felt self-serving to ask Spacey and Mako to do a podcast about writing erotica, I only dropped subtle hints, every now and again.

However, from this podcast, I learned that it really wasn’t self-serving at all. But rather, fulfilling in ways I hadn’t imagined.

Episode 104 of the Big Little Podcast is entitled: Writing AgePlay Fiction & Erotica. And it included a panel of guests who were as endearing with their vocal words as they are with their written ones.

First, there was Bella Bryce – a Brit girl in America who is most-notably known for The Waldorf Manor Series. She would be what I call a pure-n-innocent writer. There’s no BDSM in her works, per se. But her character of Alice is well known and she has been flooded with communications from readers who thanked her for sticking to a purer storyline.

Bella’s literary beginnings came from a very personal place within her and her personality shows the presence of what truth looks like – if you remain true to what you know and, if you’ll pardon the cliché, to where you came from. She was and is an absolute sweetheart and I was blessed to have been able to talk with her during that podcast.

Bella is also proof that pure-n-innocent writing, though it possesses nothing BDSM-ish harsh, is the kind of erotica that appeals to masses of people.

Next was Maren Smith – A lady who writes under three names: Maren Smith, Darla Phelps and Denise Hall. Marin has perfected how to market her stories and she keeps three different author names to prevent confusion from her readers.

Maren is a level-headed lady who presented quite a few points of view that made me think twice about several topics. Much like with Bella, with Maren, the determination of success was evident in her poise. And though Mako and I sometimes yapped our gums a bit too much at points in the podcast, Marin waited patiently and then made simple statements with depths of meaning far more than just simple.

Not to be forgotten was Mako Allen – a podcaster, writer, ABDLer, friend and so much more. It is my belief that Mako is too humble sometimes for his own good. But, along with Spacey, he saw to it that opposing points of view were heard and common sense was never overlooked (despite my best efforts to make it so! LOL )

The Big Little Podcast: “Origin Stories” (Episode 101)

BLP-LogoEvery story has a beginning – even the ABDL ones. “How did you know?”  and  “How did you start?” are two questions I eventually ask of people I meet.  And their answers are always fascinating.  I have yet to meet two people who had identical or quite similar origin stories.  But I’ve also never met anyone who had no origin story at all to tell.

Our beginnings are as individual as we are.  But they often lead us together, to places like CAPCon.  And that was where Mako & Spacey, our ABDL Podcasters and friends, held a recording session on the subject of origin stories.

I was fortunate and blessed to have been asked to sit in on the panel of guests.  And as with every one of their podcasts, I learned a little something about others, but also a little something about myself.

Say What?

BLP-LogoYou all know that ABDL Podcast, right?  The one that’s by about and for age players of all kinds?

Along similar lines of thought as to why there will always be a need for paperbacks in this world as opposed to an exclusive ebook takeover,  the Big Little Podcast – that show we all know and love with Hosts Spacey & Mako – whom we all know and love, also offers transcriptions of their shows.

At the time I typed this blog posting out, there were 99 episodes of the BLP, but only 23 of them have been transcribed.  A need exists for people to step up and transcribe the episodes still waiting to be put into words.  Having done one myself, I will tell you there is no greater feeling of accomplishment than when you finish it and proudly put your stamp on it.

If you’re interested in transcribing an episode, please contact LTD.  That’s his Fetlife profile name.  Learn more about how here.

And lastly, but not leastly – When you’re done transcribing an episode, check out Mako’s book:

Auntie Eva’s Boarder

This is the second edition release. It has been updated by the author, Mako Allen, edited by Pene Princess, and includes photography by Bob Spacey. It’s available now as an e-book or paper back through lulu.com.

Auntie Eva's BoarderNeil, a college sophomore, decides to stay in town for the summer and get a job. He needs a room, and the ad sounds innocent enough, “Widow with large house near campus seeks student boarder. Sex, race, unimportant.”

Neil discovers that Eva is no ordinary landlady. He soon realizes he might not be as mature as he’d thought after the first time she spanks him bare-bottom over her knee.

When Eva starts putting him in diapers, he learns he’s a lot more than just Auntie Eva’s boarder.

Blessings,
Zorro Daddy

The CAPCon 2013 Experience: Sunday

Begin with CAPCon 2012CAPCon 2013

At a Hotel near Chicago in April,  the Chicago Age Players held an annual convention that showed what happens when you Dream Big about Being Little.

The CAPCon Experience: Sunday

Sunday began a bit earlier for me than Saturday and it required an even quicker wake-up.  Jumping in the shower and racing down to grab a bagel and cup of coffee from the Continental Breakfast in the front lobby, I headed back to the convention area, walking into Classroom A to see something that I was quite excited to hear would be happening at CAPCon this year.
